I’m Andrew, a 19 year old college student living in Southern California with my two parents and my two younger siblings. As a family, we’ve always had an issue with planning things to do together on the weekend. We all have VERY different interests and ideas of what is considered “fun.” As someone who loves finance and saving money, I’m challenging myself to use my infinite creativity to combine my finance skills with my planning skills in finding fun and free things to do that will satisfy my whole family. I’ve grown up surrounded with friends and family who think that you have to splurge to have fun, but I want to show them what you can really do with zero bucks.

There’s a lot more to free fun than nature and museums.

Fun will never be the same again

We all know the broke college student and some of us are one, but isn’t it about time we start acting like one? Before those bank accounts actually dip below zero, let’s start having some free fun. Whether it be staying home or going out, I’ve got the perfect plan for what you can do with your day. For so long, I’ve only seen people going on expensive out of the country trips or spending hundreds on fancy foods as the prime example of fun. In here, money doesn’t buy our happiness.

Say goodbye to having to work long hours as a trade off for a fun adventure.

With this blog, I will build a hub full of ideas from the bottom up with my imagination, my experiences, and your feedback. Sometimes, it might just be a plan or schedule, but most of the time, I’ll be personally testing out these free things to do and sharing my experiences with you. Whether it turns out good or bad, I’ll let you know so that we both learn what’s worth doing again and what should be left in the imagination.

For those of you wondering what Wabi Sabi means, it’s appreciating beauty in imperfection. Not all my plans or ideas will be perfect and that’s absolutely beautiful.

People love to go out and spend time with others. More than half of Americans want to see their friends at least four times a month (57%).
